Wisdom and Knowledge
A reflection on today's Scripture:
In today's scriptures Jesus recognizes the peoples ability to forecast the weather. It is
so amazing how he uses things we know to help us understand what we don't know! He tells
the people they have the ability, but are forecasting the wrong thing. If we are to
understand His message, we must look beyond the natural to see the spiritual.
These times we live in can be viewed from different angles, but they are our times and it
is by God's grace that we live in them. Some see them with an eye of negativity and others
see them as positive. Just as wheat grows with weeds, here we are today with good and
evil.
Imagine yourself entering a room that is filled with darkness and you do nothing, it
remains dark. But if you do as little as light a small candle it's light conquers the
darkness. Today Jesus is asking us to read between the lines in our present day, and look
at the spiritual makeup of the situation, we can add to the darkness or spread the light
of Jesus Christ, the choice is freely ours.
O Lord,
Teach us your wisdom and knowledge,
for in your commands we place our trust.
