Part 1: Lasalle Overseas

Since the end of the 70's, former Lasallian students and Friends having been living overseas attempted by any ways to contact their relatives and/or teachers still behind the iron curtail. But only from the middle of the 80's could they be able to hardly send to their families a little news of theirs along with small boxes of gifts, e.g. tooth pastes, soap, etc...

By the end of the 80's, the iron curtain is a little lifted up. a few of Vietnamese people from overseas start trying to go back their homeland. Everything seems quite not as suffocating as in the very first years after the 75' events.

the first group of students creates a website www.lasan@saigon.com/~vietedu

which later becomes www.lasan.org until now.
