CONCLUSION

In recalling the definition of education and seeking to locate the mentality of young and Vietnamese younger , a manifestation of the loss of sense of the honesty is unveiled. The cheating, the lie prevail in the social life and in schools, while the honesty, confidence – which are the qualities and the criteria estimated to assess a man – are forgotten.

Until where lead these "diseases of results," these false reports? And why have they impregnated the spirit of people and responsible for any level? The HIC (catch) of the problem is to select men, to dare take the responsibility and the courage to eliminate incompetent members in whom are born  "negative" acts and  social scourges.

In the world of education, the basis of education for generations is based on the practice and the development of human qualities such as respect for others and oneself, responsibility,  honesty… The respect for others and oneself prevents the person to do evil, makes him defeat his avidity despite the poverty. The honest person does not fool anyone, not  his superiors nor his  lowers. He does not flatter anyone, does not demean to anyone. The official cannot be corrupted any longer, the judge abused.

The Respect for others and oneself does not allow the person to assume a responsibility if he is not competent. He always has the courage to recognize his shortcomings and does not assign the fault to others to justify.

We are learning that first in the family and then at school and in society. In the current situation of Vietnam, the school occupies a very important place in the education of children because most of the time, they live at  school. However, after a long period of some thirty years, Vietnamese education does not do what we are entitled to expect of it.

To the entry of all schools a slogan occupying still in first place summarizes what a student must learn when coming to the school : " Learn first the courtesy, letters after'. In other words, the teacher must assume a dual responsibility: teach the letters and train the person. Say that teachers  aimed only the teaching of letters is a bit exaggerated and painful, but the " educational harvest" reveals a part of that state.

Even in normal schools, where we specialized teachers’ formation, the elites ,teachers have instilled in the spirit of students that education goes hand in hand with education. But we have never addressed issues of the route to follow, of the program to teach or methods to be applied. It is really a difficult problem for a teacher to accomplish his function of forming a man.

Learn to know, learn to practice, learn to live together, and learn to become a man, are the aims of education that has formulated the UNESCO.

The reality shows us that we, Vietnamese, do not take seriously the education of pupils to citizenship. That is why, "negative" things occurred in the schools, the primary and secondary, which influence seriously in the future life in society. The newspapers show clearly This is not a pain concerning only the parents but it is also a trouble for the whole society.

It is true that in the former time, "the education system and the family transfer to the child and then to the young person the values which were more or less the subject of a concensus".[1]. It is true that today "neither the family nor the school are no longer hardly in a position to transmit of values".[2]. It is true that yesterday we had merely "to apply the principles that we had acquired during the socialisation in the family and school".[3]. It is true that today, "because of the acceleration of social change, the individual must discover many of the values on the job, and cannot confine himself to mobilize those that he was taught in the childhood".[4]. The young come then not equipped in the social and professional life which requires to adapt to each social context. But focus only on the training to become socialist men without making any  attention to the quality of the personality, this is a very large shortcoming , irreparable. If the child learned to live honest, frank, as soon as he enters kindergarten to the terminal, how could he live otherwise later in society, how the phenomenon of lies, of cheating it would become 'ordinary," implicitly accepted by everyone and considered "normal" ?

If I have resumed some  spectacular reports published in the Vietnamese newspapers  and reported a number of my personal experiences, it is simply to remind me and to remind teachers to be worthy of their title "engineers of souls". This is not also to say that this young generation of the future is totally lost and that the old generation was perfect. As Agnès AUSCHITZKA wrote: "Our children today do not care about all, they do not respect nothing", we are frequently heard about this generation which would, to believe its elders, without faith or law. However, such charges do not date today. Under the pen of Hesiod or of Socrates, you can find similar, and even more severe, in respect of the youth of their time. It remains that, behind these complaints, one devines a concern, a despair of many adults who think that a life which is not guided, marked by a few moral values is doomed to wandering and its misfortunes ».[5]
