FOREWORD

Saigon - Around 10A.M. of April 30, 1975

The declaration of President Duong Van Minh ordering all Army Forces of the Republic of Vietnam (South) to give up was a turning point in the history of South Vietnam.

The District of Saigon - particularly the LaSalle Mossard Community in Thu Duc - was forced to share with the people of the South this dramatic "life-changing" tsunami.

As a witness to such a dramatic change of life-style since the event of ‘75, I wish to tell of certain details which affected the District of Saigon, especially the disturbing happenings which led to the disintegration of the LaSalle Mossard Community.

It is NOT my intention to criticize the communist ideology and government, but simply to tell of the lives of the Brothers of the District of Saigon - how they survived under the stressful situations and how the LaSalle Mossard Community was forced to disappear forever since the event of ‘75.

The opinions and reflective reactions - if any - on dealing with the ways the communist government imposed their doctrines on the whole country, particularly on the District of Saigon and the LaSalle Mossard Community, are my personal opinions.
